People should follow the customs and traditions when people start to live in a new country. What extend do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays, more and more people move to other countries to study and work. Many ideas argue that they should obey the traditions and customs of the host nation. I totally agree with this opinion.
Firstly, following the local customs and traditions bring some benefits to immigrants. One of them is that newcomers will be easy to make new friends and avoid isolation. For example, participating in a safe food market creates an opportunity for newcomers to share the different and similar features about how to taste the food. As a result, they will feel interested and have new relationships. Another advantage is that the local people will be more welcoming with someone respecting for the local behaviors. The reason for this is that every person usually has a variety of opinions and cultures want to exchange. Therefore, if an international friend can understand and do the same, those are so great.
Secondly, people who stay in other countries will face a plenty of challenges if they do not conform the local cultures. Actually, they are difficult in finding a job. Because of different standards in recruitment of the local companies, many international people are unemployment. For instance, Vietnamese employers like a candidate who have an obvious background and high education, while develop countries care the best about skills and experience. Besides, foreigners will be illegal if they do not respect the cultures of locals. For example, in Japan, citizens will be punished if they liter on the street or do not classify waste before putting on the public rubbish bin.
In conclusion, conforming the customs and traditions when living in new nation is necessary because of having fun, new friends as well as avoiding unfortunate things.
