Nowadays more and more young people hold the important positions in the government. Some people think that is a good thing while others argue that it is not suitable. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Essay:
It is true that the number of young people who occupy critical positions in the national governing system is growing. Although many individuals say that this tendency is disadvantageous, I would argue that thre are much more benefits for the society.
On the one hand, older people in contemporary governments still play crucial roles in two important reasons. Firstly, their rich experience which has obtained for years facing up with various challenges is unreplaceable. A monetary policy maker, for instance, can not propose appropriate inflation target in a proper balance with interest control without in-depth knowledge and practical experience which is only feasibly learned through reality. Secondly, senior officials in the government can take advantages of their strong economic and political network to support their directions. Nonetheless, veteran leaders find introducing a bill or imposing a new regulation relatively easier in comparison with younger counterpart who are just at the early stage and with less socially influent level.
On the other hand, it seems to me that there are important benefits for the publics when accepting the increasing domination of youth in the government. One primary reason is that the youngsters are associated with creativity, enthusiasm and willingness to change which are vital to keep the nation competitive. In the digital and ever fast-changing era, the government must apply technology and latest developments in administrative management, national defense, and facilitating economic growth. Failing that, the risk of falling behind other countries is obvious. Another reason is that young people have several years to serve, providing that they have same qualities and abilities needed to have the jobs done. Hence, they are in the right time with enormous energy to confront and act on the benefits of the nations, then undoubtedly become trusted mentors or advisors when they get older.
In conclusion, although old people certainly add value in the national government, I wholeheartedly believe that the joining of younger officials should be encouraged so that they can make incredibly positive changes for the benefits of the publics
