Chữa bài IELTS Task 2
In achieving personal happiness, our relationships with family, friends, and colleagues more important than work and wealth. Do you agree or disagree with this?
It is commonly believed that professional attainment and material possessions are of paramount importance in pursuit of happiness. While this is reasonable to a certain extent, I would argue that interpersonal relationships are of far greater significance in one’s fulfillment.
Advocates of monetary values may argue that wealthy individuals can live a stress-free life. Not only can they cover all the expenses of basic amenities but they also can afford luxuries such as sports cars and high-end condos. However, such reasoning is flawed as great wealth does not always guarantee happiness. In fact, a multitude of problems may arise from having too much money. Celebrated actors and singers perfectly exemplify this situation. For instance, Britney Spears, who is an internationally acclaimed performer earning a lot of money from her successful singing career, was arrested in 2012 because of drug abuse. She is a testament to the adverse effects of material possessions.
Nevertheless, I am of the opinion that human bonds are virtually important. A clear example is the elderly people. Growing old with excellent academic performances and great fortune does not mean that they are happy for the rest of their lives. It is common sense that old people prefer supporting by their spouse and being with their sons and daughters, their nephews and nieces to earning money. They have valuable experience, therefore, their attitudes towards the importance of relationships are verifiable. Human beings, in the end, will satisfy with the existence of their friends and partners, who bring them a lot of contentment.
In conclusion, happiness does not come from work and wealth, but rather than human relationships. People need to maintain their interpersonal relations in order to gain great fulfillment.Attachments:
