Question: Some people think that it is more effective for students to study in groups, while others believe that it’s better for them to study alone.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion
      Answer
People have different views about whether learners are more beneficial from studying in groups or studying by themselves. While both methods have their own merits, my preference would be studying in groups.
On the one hand, there are some obvious benefits of self-learning. In particular, autonomous learning could successfully adapt to the high level of concentration required by a variety of academic subjects such as maths, science and physics due to no distractions stemming from classmates. This is especially necessary, for instance, when they do some revision for frequent exams or read books or articles. By doing so, not only could they deepen their understanding of these lessons, but also give outstanding performances in up-coming tests. In addition, autonomous learning students could flexibly choose their own schedules for acquiring knowledge rather than depending on their school mates’ timetable.
On the other hand, I strongly believe the group study offers a wider range of fascinating advantages. Firstly, in a studying group, they can freely share reference learning materials with others and gather more ideas and information, incentivising studying effectiveness. Secondly, Each individual possesses different strengths and weaknesses; therefore, group study can help them realize what they lack and learn more from other students. For example, English learners could fix their own pronunciation mistakes and improve their speaking skills significantly if they frequently interacted with advanced speakers. Finally, group study has motivated and inspirited students to work hard and overcome difficulties in school curriculum in order to get academic achievements as they have to be aware of the responsibility for each task given by the team and at the same time the need to prove themselves in a competitive sense.
In conclusion, While I have to admit studying alone obtain undeniable benefits, I believe group study would be more advantageous to the learners than autonomous learning.
