The given graph illustrates the number of USA’s consumption of energy from 1980 to the year reporting in 2008 and projecting until 2030.
Overall, petrol and oil were the most popular fuels using by American, while there was fewer consumption of other energies over the time.
From 1980, American citizen preferred to use petrol and oil in life. This figure began at 35 quadrillion units whereas coal and natural gas were just over a half of the figure of petrol and oil. After getting slight fluctuation for more than 15 years, they got the same trend of rising dramatically until 2030.
Energy from nuclear, solar and wind, hydropower had the lowest consumption since 1980 at below 5 quadrillion units. Hydropower was expected to remain the bottom number over the time while nuclear and solar or wind’s energy would have small growth at about 2 or 3 quadrillion units in 2030.
