The bar charts below give information on road transport in a number of European countries.

The graphs illustrate the distance per year of each person and the commuting time per day in seven European countries. Overall, the car is the most popular transport which is used by European and has the amount of distance over three times higher than other means of transport. Besides, Germany and UK spend more time in travelling than other countries.
In the first and second charts, it is clear that each person in Denmark who travels by car and other transportations has the highest kilometres per year with around 13,000 and over 3,000 respectively. The numbers of distance that are used by car per person in the remaining countries are within from about 8,500 to 12,000 kilometres. Compared with distance of car, the figures for other transportations in the resting nations are just around 1,000 kilometres, excluding in Italy with nearly 2,000 kilometres.
In the third chart, people in the UK and Germany who use their time in commute account for the highest number with nearly 50 minutes per day while this figure for Italy is just approximately 20 minutes per day. Within from around 30 to 40 minutes are the numbers of commuting time per day in other countries.
