Traffic and housing problems in major cities could be solved by moving large companies and factories and their employees to the countryside. Do you agree or disagree?
These days, with increasing urban populations, there are some major issues with congestion and not only the price but also the availability of accommodation. It seems that one possible solution could be to relocate large companies and factories as well as their respective employees out to the urban areas and into the rural ones. Personally, I completely agree with this idea.
To begin with, the traffic problem does not only exist from commuting employees, but also a general public traveling around the city. This means if the number of workers’ vehicles is reduced in the city, a large proportion of traffic will obviously decrease in rush hours. For example, in some metropolises of Vietnam such as Ho Chi Minh City or Ha Noi capital, congestion usually occurs at the peak hours as 7:00 AM or 17:00 PM mainly because of staffs from companies going to and from home.
From a housing perspective, the populations will continue to grow in metropolises and therefore inadvertently decline the number of cheap and available apartments. However, this may be a fact, the large percentage of these apartments are occupied by the employees from the firm and their families. If this workforce has a trend of renting or buying the housing estates, most apartments will fall in price and undoubtedly increase in the availability.
In conclusion, relocating workers to rural areas to work that makes heavy traffic and the lack of accommodations will be changed for the better. I believe that the government will have some positive policies to enhance the living condition of workers in all major urban areas.Attachments:
