Advances in science and technology and other areas of society in the last 100 years have transformed the way we live as well as postponing the day we die. There is no better time to be alive than now.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?Over the last hundred years, there have been a lot of remarkable developments related to science, technology and other areas of society. While I agree with the idea that this period is the best time to be alive due to these developments, I do believe that these changes bring some negative impacts on people’s life.
There are several benefits making people feel that it is worthy to live in this period. Firstly, a modern life helps humans improve public health services and living conditions. For example, medical breakthroughs have treated many serious diseases and this has extended the human lifetime. Besides, human beings have transferred into a comfortable life with many innovative machines that are labor-saving such as washing machines, vacuum cleaner, and microwave. Secondly, developing information technology has allowed people to do numerous things when they just stay at home, especially contacting other people, working with customers and shopping. Finally, people can go somewhere with different means of transport that are more convenient and enjoyable thanks to advances in transportation.
However, evolution has created some problems in human life. The most serious issue is that pollution is increasing significantly and affects human life negatively. For example, the appearance of many factories emit increasingly carbon dioxide as well as global warming. This leads to disasters appearing more and more that have robbed the lives of many people in the world. Moreover, modern technology makes people belong to it and causes various social problems, such as unemployment, increasing crime and some strange diseases due to lack of exercise.
In conclusion, although the development of science and technology brings many good things for people, it also has some negative effects on human life. This may be the best time to be alive than any period before, but people should do something to overcome troubles to keep a better life in the future.Cảm ơn bạn đã gửi bài!
