The charts compare the percentage of water people in different countries spent on agriculture, domestic and industry by the year 2000.
Overall, the distribution of water use for agriculture, domestic and industry in China were resembling with the World. In addition, agriculture accounts for the vast majority of water consumption, except for Canada where this sector was the smallest.
By the year 200, the highest percentage of water using in China as well as in the World was for farming, at 69% and 70% respectively, while the lowest was for domestic at 9% and 8%. The figure of water use in industry in China were exactly the same as those figure in the World, 22%.
In New Zealand, there was a similar percentage of water use for agriculture and domestic, 44% and 46% respectively compared to only 10% using for industry. Canada spent exactly 80% of their total water on industry and only 8% on agriculture, compared to India, those figure were 92% and 3% respectively. Finally, the Canadian spent 7% more on domestic than their counterparts in India.Attachments:
