The diagrams show how a fishing village and its surrounding transformed into a modern tourist resort in Europe during the period of 1974-2004.
Overall, the village became more crowded with the population raising from just 12,000 in 1974 to 80,000 and 50,000 tourist beds in 2004, cutting out some of the natural beauty and cattle ranch while extending the residential area as well as tourist areas.
From 1974 to 2004, the area around the fishing village was developed into accommodations while the harbour was replaced by beaches in which used for swimming. There was a new long road which constructed to link the northeast village with the resort.
In the middle of the area, the place olives grew then replaced by a larger farmland at which people grew fruits and vegetable to sell for the hotels located nearby. It is noticed that the woodland turned into a large golf course while the two villages down the moutains became moderner with high buildings and many tourist shops.
