The graph below shows the consumption of fish and different kinds of meat
in a European country between 1979 and 2004.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and
make comparisons where relevant.

The line graph compares the figure for fish and three kinds of meat per
person per week in a nation in Europe from 1979 to 2004.

Overall, the graph experienced a dramatic growth in the amount of chicken,
whereas there was a similarity in terms of the significant decrease between
beef and lamb.

In the year 1979, the figures for beef and lamb started at the highest
points at approximately 215 grams and 150 grams respectively. After several
big fluctuations over the next twenty years, although the European country
witnessed rapid falls in both rates, the trend of lamb was always
consistently below the other’s, before beef and lamb reached their lowest
positions at about 100 grams and 600 grams respectively.

Beginning at the third place (nearly 140 grams), chicken consumption hit
the peak at 250 grams on the whole graph after some minor variations in its
general growth. Besides, the amount of fish always took the lowest points
which remaining nearly 50 grams in over a period of 25 years.
