The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.

The given chart illustrates the figures for the inquiries asking for information via 3 means of communications by the Tourist Information Office in one city from January to June.
It can be seen that there was a considerable increase in the number of inquiries via telephone and in person, while letter and email suffered a drastic decline among 3 methods. In particular, the number of inquiries reached the highest point and the number of those using letter and email experienced the lowest position at the end of the period
In January, telephone took the lead in terms of number of inquiries which was 900 inquires, while just 800 letters and emails were sent from the interested individuals. Over the next two months, communicating in person replaced letter and email to be the second most popular means at 800 inquiries after the telephone method which was 1000 inquiries.
From March to June, it is witnessed a dramatic rise in person and telephone, while less and less people chose sending letter and email. By June, direct face to face communicating surpassed the figures for emails and postal to reach the peak at 1900 inquiries, telephone came second with 1400 inquiries. In contrast, the number of inquiries via mailing continued to drop significantly to less than 400.
