The pie charts show the average consumption of food in the world in 2008
compared to two countries: China and India.Write a report to a university lecturer describing the data. Write at least

The charts illustrated data on the expenditure on four different food
categories of the world and two nations in the year 2008.Overall, people in both countries and in the world spent the largest
proportion of their income on processed food and vegetables and fruits. The
figures for spending money on animal food, nuts and seeds in China and
India were higher than the world.In all the three pie charts, the highest category was processed food, which
represented 41%, 34% and 39% respectively in the World, China and India.
Chinese average consumption of vegetables and fruits took the second place,
at 32%, while this was slightly less than in India and in the world, with
23% and 29% respectively.Expenditure on nuts and seeds was the lowest category. In the world, this
accounted for only 4%, whereas 26% spending on animal food. Chineses spent
15% and 19% respectively on animal food and nuts and seeds, in comparison
with 27% and 11% in India.Attachments:
