It is true that the traditional family mealtime is disappearing nowadays. There is the main reason from modern world issues have been affected by members’ daily life routine. Therefore, impacts on nutrition, and the pattern of behaviour is changing.
It is clear that modern life is driving members to work hard in order to pursue their career, and put pressure on getting a better income. Consequently, they forget the importance of family mealtime which is a chance to let the members get closer. The second reason is a food diversity outside attracts people with a cheap price that easy to purchase when they are busy. People tend to grab food outside rather than try to arrange a time to spend with family on that account.
The consequences for family life and children nutrition are serious. Firstly, The family mealtimes provide members with home-made food as part of a healthier diet. Moreover, It can help to avoid a bad habit of eating junk food and fast food chain. Secondly, maintaining a work-life balance is important, which is helped by reminding take a break to set off a family time. Furthermore, being on a regular family mealtime gains the connection between members and shorten the gap in generations. A close-knit family improves children’s pattern behaviour by listening to their sharing.
In conclusion, in a busy life nowadays, each member has a responsibility to arrange the time for family mealtime in order to not only for a healthy diet but also for a stable family background.
