Some people think watching TELEVISION is bad for children, while others think that watching TELEVISION has more beneficial effects on children. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.
People have different views about the relationship between children and watching television. Whilst some people argue that watching television can exert negative influences on children, I believe that those devices can provide enormous benefits to those individuals.
On the one hand, there is a common belief that using television can exert adverse impacts on children because of two major reasons. Firstly, in the modern life, television seems to be indispensable for children due to its strong attraction. This bad habit tends to pose a detrimental threat to other activities of children, such as sport or education in light of the fact that those individuals devote a large amount of time to watching fascinating programs on the television. Secondly, watching television can significantly affect children’s health. For example, this habit can cause some serious diseases, such as obesity or myopic
On the other hand, I would strongly endorse that watching television can create beneficial impacts on children. The first supporting point for this view is that those devices play an important role in aiding great relaxation for children. For instance, those individuals can derive deep pleasure when watching an amazing cartoon film after a day of intense study. Moreover, they also possibly gain a source of valuable information and knowledge by watching television. A clear illustration is that numerous helpful programs on the television, such as technology, science or society play an integral part in the study process of the youth.
In conclusion, although there are some reasonable arguments against watching television, it seems to me that those devices have positive impacts on children.
