Early technological developments helped ordinary people and changed their lives more than recent developments. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In recent decades, more scientific breakthroughs of advanced technology have fundamentally transformed the whole world. While I subscribe to the argument that early technological developments have beneficial effects on people’s lives, I would maintain that recent technologies have had an equally significant impact on our lives.

A number of factors are responsible for old technologies that helped people and changed the way we live. Firstly, unless the old invention had appeared, people would have faced a big obstacle about communicating together. Thus, the invention of the phone allowed people to speak together even if they live in different locations. Secondly, the invention of print had a huge impact on the way we communicate knowledge and information. This acted as an incentive for books and newspapers produced quickly and in large numbers, becoming accessible to many more people.

There are also more reasons explain for the recent technology have also greatly influenced our lives. First, the internet is the most important single development in the history of human communication. This benefits not only allow people to make a telecommuting possible and feel more connected without driving to meet friends but also get more information than books. Second, the development of jet planes take steps to travel fastly and easily. For example, I go to Nha Trang from Ho Chi Minh city that takes me about 8 hours to travel by train, which takes only 1 hour by taking a plane.

In conclusion, regardless of old or new technology, they always have an impact on public’s lives. Depending on how people to adopt it in our life. (165 words)
