Some people think that newly built houses should follow the style of the old houses in the local areas, while others think that people should have freedom to build houses of their own styles. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
It is suggested that people should keep the homogeneity of exterior design of houses instead of unique houses. The others strongly believe that architectural freedom should be given to households. In my opinion, it is far more significant to have their home custom-designed.
Obviously, homogeneity of exterior design of houses helps a certain local area gain in popularity. Distinctive landscape could be enormously appealing to a great number of tourists paying a visit. For example, Hoi An ancient town is very famous for its bizarre-looking home: yellow walls and red roof. It is not viable practice to be applied everywhere. Numerous travellers coming here will lead to an increase in the local revenue. In addition, following the same traditional style is an effective way to remind the youth of dominant values.
Nevertheless, there are some strong grounds for allowing people to design houses as they wish. Firstly, complying with old architecture seems impractical in the modern times. Specifically, it is inappropriate for meeting different demands of extended families. For instance, a one-storey flat is a traditional home in Vietnam. However, the house is largely designed to best meet the needs of all members in a family. Secondly, conforming to classical style violates the right of those having huge passion for designing their unique houses and makes them feel not comfortable. Only when they get permit to design and decorate their home, do they fulfill their real purpose to have an ideal house to enjoy.
In conclusion, I am firmly of the view that people are entitled to construct their home. Compelling people to comply with one type of architecture is not a good idea in the modern times in which people`s right to have the home built by them is protected by laws.[3/31/2018, 1:56:05 PM] Cám ơn các bạn!
