Task
The table illustrate information on how many different kinds of settling in three areas namely Victoria, The Northern Territory and Tasmania in the year of 2001 and 2006.
Overall, house was the popular type of dwelling in all three places while minority of people was likely to live in other sorts of settlement, except people in the Northern Territory.
As can be seen from the table, most people chose house for their dwelling in all regions, but the trend decrease slightly 2-3 % after 5 years in Victoria and The Northern Territory, compared to a small increase from 88% to 89 in Tasmania. By contrast, just 1-2% of the population in regions shown settled in other types of dwelling , except Tasmania with 14% of people were likely to choose this type in 2001 athough there were an slight decline to 11% in 2006.
Regarding the remained types of dwelling, semi-attached house was the second option of people who lived in Victoria and The Northern Territory, which the rate of this type rose marginally from 11% to 12% and from 13% to 15% in 2001 and 2006 respectively. However, the second highest proportion of people living in Tasmania enjoyed flat or apartment form 6% to 7% in both two years. Almost 10% of population in Vitoria and The Northern Territory dwelled in Flat or Apartment and the trend was upward during the period shown.
