Cambridge 8 – Test 3
Task 1 : You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
The diagrams below show the stages and equipment used in the cement-making
process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and
make comparisons where relevant.

This diagrams illustrate the process and building devices used to make cement and the cement proportion is taken to produce concrete.
It is clear that there are 4 stages and 4 equipment which is used in the cement production process. And cement accounts for a little part in total of concrete production.
Looking at the first diagram, being with clime stone and clay introduce crusher to become a powder. This powder then constantly entered in mixer and go down rotating heater with a heat at the last of the equipment. And then the mixture go through grinder and convert to cement. It is ground and is packed into bags.
The diagram on the right side tell us that concrete is mixed by four ingredients in differing percentages. In the concrete production process, cement makes up 15% which mixed with 10% of water , 25% of sand, and 50% of Gravel in concrete mixer to made concrete for building aim and finish the process.
