Nowadays, many families operate their own business, which makes people argued a lot about the upside and downside brought by this tendency. From my point of view, this trend has both pros and cons.
On the one hand, there are various reasons why having the individual career is such a significant advantage for every family. Initially, current life becomes harder, which makes people difficult to find a job and earn money. However, if family has the individual business, they can almost be active in their finance. In the other word, if they work for their family, they will never worry about being fired and their salary every moth. Secondly, many companies find it hard when choosing the people who continue their business. By contrast, if this company is owned by a family, they can easily find the potential person who is one of their family members as he/she grows up and lives with their family career even when just a little kid, so they may have hereditary gift and more experience.
However, on the other hand, despite some benefits, this trend also has many drawbacks. Firstly, in some families, because of the enormous success of their own business, next generation fight and harm each other to be the heir. In fact, some people kill their siblings and commit many other serious crimes to come into the legacy. In addition, some parents force their children to study the major that is determined by them to their kids be able to continue their career. Thus, it is totally not fair for these children as they must give up their dream to finish their parents’ wish.
In conclusion, running own business brings to every family a number of advantages, but it still cause many disadvantages. Therefore, upper generation in family should consider more before deciding anything due to the direct effect to every family member.Kindly check!
