Nowadays, because of the significant development of technology, people tend to use e-books rather than paper ones; which makes many people believe that e-books have already replaced paper book position in modern life. However, others still think that paper books will never out of date. Thus, this essay is written to discuss both views. Personally, these opinions are right partly.
On the other hand, there are various reasons why people prefer using e-books to traditional ones. Initially, current life becomes harder, which makes people more sparing of money. Hence, e-books usually have a lower price than paper books, so it is not difficult to understand why people like using e-books. Furthermore, instead of carrying many paper books, people just need to bring a smart-phone or a laptop if they read e-books. Lastly, indeed when reading books, there is much information which readers like and want to keep. Nevertheless, paper books are so easy to be lost and torn rather than e-books.
On the other hand, despite a number of benefits, e-books also have a considerable drawback, which makes some people assert that traditional books will never disappear. In fact, nowadays people tend to spend a lot of time on screen including reading e-books, which has the negative influence on health such as short-sightedness, obesity and even decreasing some life skills.
In conclusion, from my point of view, e-books have both advantages and disadvantages, people should consider more when using. In addition, in spite of the drawback of paper books, people are still encouraged to read these.
