Nowadays, people tend to use the internet to gain knowledge and entertain, instead of traditional books. Therefore, many people believe paper books do not play a principal role in modern life. Personally, this opinion is right partly.
On the one hand, there are various reasons proving the benefit brought by the internet that outweighs books, so people usually use the internet rather than books. Initially, the internet gives more information. Indeed, when searching any things, the internet can present not only thousands of results, but also a number of other relating information. By contrast, with a book, readers can just know the knowledge from one author, which definitely illustrates a hug gap of information between paper books and the internet. Secondly, when doing any researches on the internet, the information finders get is livelier due to including many videos and lots of photos, which so different from books that jus have few simple pictures. Lastly, despite a massive amount of information, finding on the internet costs lower than buying books. For instance, people just need to pay 50$ to use the internet for six months, instead of a paper books with the same price.
On the other hand, in spite of a number of disadvantages, paper books also have some considerable advantages which make them never out of date. Firstly, using paper books can decrease the screen time. Nowadays, people tend to spend almost their time on laptops or smart phones, which totally affects negatively to health especially eyes. Thus, to be good for health, people should spend time on paper books. In addition, though the internet provides people much information, there is nothing to guarantee the exact of this information. Nevertheless, books always make sure of what they supply due to being checked by publishers.
