Chữa bài IELTS Task 2
Modern technology has made it easier for individuals to download copyrighted music and books from internet for no charge.
To what extent is this a positive or a negative development. In conclusion, it seems to me the disadvantages of using copyrighted music and books on the internet free of charge outweigh its advantages due to significant consequences this trend brings out.
Modern gadgets are more convenience to download illegally music and books without paying a fee. Personally, I think that phenomenon has both positive and negative effects in equal measure.
From both moral and commercial aspects, there are a lot of negative effects when people break copyrighted laws. Firstly, the make the point that downloading materials and music without paying is morally – it is, after all, a form of stealing, as if someone had shoplifted a CD. Secondly, creators and authors devote a great deal of their time and effort to producing a piece of work, but internet users can download those materials for free, leading to their demotivation because their jobs cannot provide a high income as they expected. Likewise, this would also exert a negative impact on the number of people choosing these specialized fields in the future.
I believe, however, that free access to books and music on the internet is a liberating development, allowing more people to have a golden opportunity to acquire an ocean of knowledge. It is particularly good that young people can freely experience a wide range of music and writing. Furthermore, in poor countries, the majority of residents are low earners who could not have financial condition to access this kind of entertainment such as music and books on the internet with a fee because they have to afford their families.
In conclusion, it seems to me the disadvantages of using copyrighted music and books on the internet free of charge outweigh its advantages due to significant consequences this trend brings out.Attachments:
