1. Music play an important role in society, others think it is simply a form of entertainment for individuals. Discuss both and give your opinion.

From ancient time to modern day, music always has a vital role in the community, while some people say that music is just form of enjoyment, I think that it brings a lot of values.
On the one hand, there is no doubt that music is a wealthy source of entertainment. Firstly, music helps to cheer everyone up. For example, when a white-collar worker goes home after a hectic day work and they need some entertainment, they play their favourite songs that make them calm and relax. Secondly, music has been a key component of ceremonies and parties. Young people can dance to the beat of the song and release their pent up energy.
On the other hand, I believe that some underlying reasons why music play a pillar role in society. The simple first reason is that music can link us to our culture and tradition. The lyrics contain many things of our culture which are alive today because of these folk songs. Otherwise, under the influence of K-pop music Vietnamese are forgetting their roots. Furthermore, music therapy can help patients dealing with mental disease in numerous ways. Most of us have had an experience where we hear a song and immediately associate it with a particular moment in time and remember the people we were with. For instance, when I hear “Forever” I think about the time when I was in a dorm with my close friends.
To put it in a nutshell, I pen down saying that music is not just for entertainment, it has many roles in society.
