When most of the population in developing countries do not have food to eat
and place to live, it is immaterial to talk about saving forests as a
gesture to protect our environment. The aim should be to utilize maximum
land for food production and making homes for the homeless. To what extend
do you agree or disagree?

In recent years, a variety of developing nations has been tending to
allocate their budgets for protecting the biodiversity by taking action on
preserving forests, whereas there is a lack of food and homes for the poor.
In my opinion, the government should take advantage of as much land as
possible for agriculture and building houses for the homeless, instead of
handling the environment’s problems.

On the one hand, there are two main reasons why many countries are in need
of protecting forests. First of all, forests are homes of  rare plants and
animals, so saving the woodland means keeping natural habitats safe.
Secondly, firewood is one of the major causes of the pollution, as it
discharges carbon dioxide which creates The Greenhouse effect. As a result,
maintaining the green forests not only helps to balance the ecology but
also improves people’s health by breathing in the pure air.

On the other hand, improving life quality is the most vital mission that
should be prioritized. Firstly, making homes and producing more food offers
the poor and the homeless better opportunities to cover their lives.
Therefore, the more the demand’s citizens are tackled, the more developing
economy is boosted. Additionally, saving forests just helps to preserve
fauna and flora and prevents the air pollution but can not give support to
advance life quality. Without places to live and food supplement, people
usually tend to commit the offence through robbing or evenly killing the
others. As a result, the society will witness a growth of criminal rate.

In conclusion, although the authority has their rights in policies of
protecting the environment, I am still in favour of the prospect that
maximizing land to supply food and homes for poor people should be the
first purpose in each developing nation.
