Thanks to the technology boom of the 21st century , readers nowadays are more prone to reach for their materials online rather than traditionally printed publication. Admittedly, the so-called e-books have both merits and demerits. From my perspective, however, the former far outweighs the latter for the reasons disseminated below.
First and foremost, apps and websites providing the service of online reading are certain to keep track with abundance of resources from all over the globe, enabling book-worms to opt for thousands and even millions of publications varifying in every genre and living up to every taste. The most notable name in this innovative approach include: Amazon, Google play, Kindle. Additionally, the fee needed to cater for commercing a printed work in a bookshop may even be ample to wander through myriads of masterpiece on the sites afforementioned. Moreover, when it comes to the trial that readers have to spare to pursue their passion, e-books are infallibly on the winning side thanks to the searching tool with just a click rather than taking times browsing through shops and shops devouring each and every shelf. Last but not least, instead of inconveniently sticking nose in a bulky book, all readers call for is a device having access to the Internet to bask in their own literal world.
However, there still exists limitations that online readership has to come up against. The greatest challenge posed is the matter of patent law, which legalize the official possession of a printed work. As a matter of fact, it is a great obstacle to manipulate the approach to every material on the site. In other words, not everyone pays enough respect to the artwork they swot up on and accept the charge, let alone keeping its authenticity. So much the worse, items with inappropriate content are prominently available, which distribute falsified knowledge and even provoke controversial abuse.
The above discussion has weighed up the pros and cons of online shopping. It is now crystal clear that the latter is overshadowed by the former. Therefore, it is just a matter of time before this norm of readership replaces its conventional counterpart.
