The given bar chart illustrates how many schoolgirls and schoolboys opt for certain university subjects in the year 2005.
Overall, the percentage of male pupils is higher than that of female counterparts in selecting some subjects such as Sciences, Mathematics, Literature, and Law, whereas, female students prefer to choose Social Sciences, Languages, The Arts. However, there was the same figure for both of them when it comes to select Humanities to study at schools.
In terms of Science subjects, the number of male youngsters doubled that of female ones, about 22 thousand compared to around 10 thousand. Likewise, the figure for schoolboys was extremely higher (nearly four folded) than that of schoolgirl related to choose Mathematics, some 19 thousand and roughly 4 thousand respectively.
Conversely, female students tended to go for choosing languages, because it figures was higher about ten times than that of boy groups, below 20 thousand and approximately 2 thousand each. In the same patterns, Social Sciences subjects were more attractive by girls than boys, its figure accounted for about 25 thousand against 15 thousand in that order. Finally, they had the same interests in studying Humanities; the numbers of both of them were nearly 12 thousand each.Attachments:
