The graph below shows information on employment rates across 6 countries in 1995 and 2005.
The bar chart compares the rate of male and female workers in different countries in two years- 1995 and 2005. Overall, it can be seen that male employees completely dominated the workforce of all six countries in 1995. In addition , there were huge rises in the number of employees in both two genders during this period, however, the gap of employment rate between two genders seem to be remained unchanged.
In 1995, the number of male labours in Iceland was visibly ahead of that in other countries with more than 70, while the figure for female workers was far lesser than that of male, with 40. In Australia, around 60 male employees could be seen against only 28 female employees. The same trend had been observed in New Zealand, as the proportion of female workers was only one third of that of male workers. Other countries such as UK, USA and Switzerland, however, displayed smaller discarcities between the ratio of two genders.
After a decade, the figure for both men and women had been increased gradually in all six countries. The proportion of male workers in Iceland still ranked first at more than 80, compared to that of the year 1995. Switzerland showed a higher number of female employees at around 70 people. The remaining countries, such as Australia, UK and USA witnessed the similar scenario.Attachments:
