Chữa bài IELTS Task 1
The graph below shows UK acid rain emissions, measured in millions of tones, from four different sectors between 1990 and 2007.
The line graph compares four sectors in terms of the amount of acid rain emissions which they produced from 1990 to 2007 in the UK.
It is clear that the total amount of acid rain emissions decreased over the period shown. Also, the dramatic decline was seen in the electricity, gas and water supply sector.
In 1990, around 3.3 million tones of acid rain gases came from electricity, gas and water supply. The figures for transport/communication and homes were significantly lower, at approximately 0.7 million and 0.6 million tones respectively. Other industries were responsible for about 2.1 million tones of acid rain emissions.
By 2007, the amount of acid rain emissions coming from electricity, gas and water had decreased dramatically to 0.5 million tones. The similar patterns were seen in other industries and domestics sectors but with gradual speed. The figures for these two sectors were 1.3 million and 0.2 million tones respectively in 2007. Between 1990 and 2007, the amount of acid rain gases which was produced by transport and communication reached a peak of 1 million tones in 2005, before falling back to 0.7 million at the end of the period.
