Task 1:
The table compares the proportion of various types of transport used to travel in term of four countries. The bar chart gives information about the percentage of different purposes of American for traveling to office by car.
Overall, it can be seen that car is used as the major transportation for traveling in all four countries. In USA, peole go to work by car mostly because they do not have any other choice.
Regarding the table, the largest percentage of visiting by car is observed in USA with 90%, followed by UK and France with 72% and 68%, respectively. Netherlands resident also travel mainly by car at nearly a half of total, which is twice as high as that of bicycle (26%). By contrast, the figures for bicycle in three other countries only range from 1-2%. In term of public transport, French stand at the highest place at 18%, compared to only 3% is made by the USA people. Traveling on foot are unexpectedly common in Netherlands (18%) as well as UK and France (both stood at 11%), however, it is not familiar in America.
According to the bar chart, nearly 40% of American excuse that there is no alternative transport for them to go to work, compared to 8% for working nightshift. Other explainations such as convenient and requring car as a tool of working also observe large proportion at 30% and 22%, respectively.
