The given charts give information about the yearly spending by a particular UK school changed from 1981 to 2001.
Overall, the UK schools spent the highest amount of money on Teachers’ salaries, whereas Insurance was the lowest expenditure over the period of 20 years.
In 1981, the amount of money spent on Teachers’ salaries was largest, at 40% of the total school expenditure. At the same time, the figures for Furniture & Equipment and Resources were exactly similar, stood at 15% each. While the percentage of Other workers’ salaries accounted for 28%, the smallest proportion of Insurance was made up of just 2%. Ten years later, while the proportions of Teachers’ salaries, Resources, and Insurance increased to 50%, 20%, and 35 respectively, the percentages of Other workers’ salaries, Furniture and Equipment went down to 22% and 5% in that order.
Between 1991 and 2011, there was a slight decline in the quantities of money spent on Teachers’ salaries, by 5%. Likewise, the proportion of Other workers’ salaries also fell from 22% to 15%. Nevertheless, the figures for the two remaining sections (Furniture & Equipment, Insurance, and Resources) rose to 23%, 8% respectively.
