Some people think they have right to use as much fresh water as they want, others believe government should control the use of fresh water as it is limited resource. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
People have different views about whether residents should be permitted to be free or restricted water consumption. While water is fundamental to our existence, I believe that the authority should take heed of the source of clean water.
On the one hand, water is natural resources and it is available in a large proportion of the planet. As a result, it should be free and everyone can access it to their daily needs and people could consume the amount of water that they needed because it is free of charge. Moreover, a large amount of water is being used in agriculture and industries to produce commodities, and therefore it should not be limited usable. For example, people who are doing farming needs the huge amount water and if governments control the utilization of water then farmers would not be able to compensate the water supply bills. Therefore, it will have a negative impact on the crop yield.
On the other hand, it seems to me that giving the control to central government is the best choice. Firstly, the increasing number of population leads to the growing demand of water. If inhabitants have free access to water, they might not see the need of water saving. As a result, water scarcity is inevitable in the near future. Secondly, this kind of limited policy may help to prevent private companies from privatizing water supplies.
Since there are numerous companies focused on earning a profit based on water management, they tend to provide low quality water or fouled water with chemicals to residents, which would lead to deadly outbreaks of cholera and other water-borne diseases such as eyesore, diarrhea.
In conclusion, I can understand why people might have the right to use it of their own free will, but it seems to me that the central official should put water under public control.Good job.
