More and more people are using computers and other forms of gadgets for reading. Therefore, there is no need to print books, magazines, and newspapers. Do you agree or disagree?
It is undeniable that technology has been changing the world in almost all aspects of life such as the way people obtain knowledge. Recently, the numbers of books, newspapers, and magazines sales have been recorded to be fallen drastically that seem to be the consequence of the development of e-book on the Internet. I definitely agree with the idea that books and other kinds of printed materials will be replaced by e-book sooner or later.
Obviously, each of these reading methods has its own perks. On the one hand, since paper is one of the greatest inventions of civilization, reading hardcopies of books or newspapers is a very common way of obtaining knowledge. Printed books are extremely advantages for technophobes or short-sighted people. For example, elderly people who are struggling with modern devices find traditional books are very easy to read. Additionally, electricity appliances are rigorously avoided by those who want to protect their health seriously due to the fact that over-reliance on technology causes serious health problems.
On the other hand, technology has been an irreplaceable part of people’s lives and it plays a significant role in encouraging readers by uploading online versions of various books and newspapers. Nowadays, e-readers are allowed to read any kinds of books or magazines anytime and anywhere on computers or mobile phones without carrying them. In addition to personal benefits, utilizing devices to read has positive impacts in an effort to protect the environment. For those who are aware of the environment, reading online is an effective way to satisfy their concerns since this can reduce a huge number of papers used. Moreover, all parts of the world will be beneficial due to the reduction in deforestation and cutting trees which can minimize erosion and preserve the Green Belt.
In conclusion, although traditional books and newspaper has been existed for a long time, it is a promising anticipation that technology will shift this trend.Corrected! Feel free to leave any comment.
