Topic 2 : some people think that government should pay for health care and education but other people claim that it is individual’ responsibility. Discuss both view and give your opinion ?
Nowadays , heath care and education are two most important parts of people’s lives and it is the backbone of a successful country. There are some arguments about who should pay for that. Some peole suppose that it should be done by government and other people think that it is citizens’s obligation. While I agree that a part of it should not be residents’s responsibility , I believe that government should provide the basis health care and education
On the one hand, there are several reasons why People claim that citizens should pay for this . the first reason is that they might think that government can not ensure heath care and education for all people, especially in populous countries such as china or russia , because of the limited financial fund. Therefore, they can not count on government to take care of them . Another reason is they might fell unequal because everyone are provided the same treatments from government but only people who have the certain level of income have to pay taxes . for example , residents in viet nam who have higher income than nine million VNDs have to pay taxes but the government provide the same heathcare and education programs for all its citizens.
On the other hand, on the contrary , there are a number of reasons given by people who suppose that government shout pay for health care and education. Firstly , they have paid a huge amount of taxes, so the government should have the obligation to provide these facilities. It is obvious that authority run and develop the country by taxes which they collect from residents, so a part of taxes should be allocated to improving people’s lives by offering them free health care and education. Secondly, they might think health care services and education programs are basic human rights. Thus, government should take care of people regardless of whether or not paying taxes. And finally , well-educated and healthy citizens is a valuable labour source which would help developing and thriving their nation.
In conclusion, while some group argue that people should pay for heath care and education, I believe that government should cover these costs for its citizens.
