The line graph below gives information on cinema attendance in the UK.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information given. The line graph indicates changes in the percentage of people going to cinemas over four age groups in the UK between 1990 and 2010.
Overall, it is noticeable that young adults were the most regular attendants while there was a small number of old people interested in cinemas during the period shown. However, all four groups saw a gradual increase despite a slight fall between 1995 and 2000.
People aged from 24 to 34 years old made up a larger proportion than other three counterparts. To be specific, in 1990, they contributed 38% of the audiences. The figures rose slightly in the first five years then declined to stay at the same level as in 1990 before increasing dramatically to reach 51% in 2010.
There was a growing trend among the rest three groups. The elderly started at 15% in 1990 and ended up at 21% at the end of the given period, a half compared with 33-44 group. Participants whose age are between 14 and 24 had a percentage of 24% in 1990 and witnessed a 8% rise over 20 years.Attachments:
