Writing Task 2: International community must act immediately to ensure all nations to reduce their consumption of fossil fuels e.g. gas and oil. o what extend do you agree or disagree?

Many people believe that global community should take appropriate actions urgently to ensure all nations to decrease their utilization of fossil fuels such as gas and oil. While I accept that there are various reasons for this, I would argue that it is difficult to tackle this issue.

To begin with the reasons which international community should reduce their consumption of fossil fuels. Firstly, emissions coming from fossil fuels is a main reason leading to heavy polluted air. As a result, it causes climate changes of the earth. Secondly, in long term, these nature resources will be inadequate for people’s demand. Above all, taking immediate actions is a good way to mitigate shortage fuels in future.

However, it is not easy to force all nations decrease their consumption of gas and oil. At the moment, we still do not own many other resources to replace fossil fuels. Replacement resources such as biogas is not only insufficient but also very expensive. Furthermore, we can not deny that fuels play an essential role in economic growth, in particular, transportation. Every country may have serious problems if they are forced to reduce fuels expenditures.

In my opinion, international community should take some more effective solution instead of declining nations’ community of fossil fuels. On the one hand, governments should investigate to research another replacement sources as well as improve public transports system. This would be a promising way to reduce gas and oil consumption. On the other hand, providing some training courses should be acted immediately to raise people’s awareness about the crucial role of fossil fuels in our lives.

In brief, for the reasons mentioned above, I believe that it is difficult to ensure all countries reduce their expenditure in fossil fuels immediately. By contrast, government should undertake some other solutions to mitigate the lack of fuels in future.
