Topic: In companies, promotions to high positions should be given to employees inside the company and not to somebody outside the company or new hiring. What is your opinion on this ?
Some people think that internal employees should be promoted to high positions rather than external recruitments . In my opinion , I completely agree with this view
To begin with, I think inside employees should be given opportunities to get high positions because of number of reasons. Firstly, in company, high positions which allow people to make a lot of important decisions should be filled with loyal , dedicated and talented peole . and those characteristics can be easier to evaluate with insiders rather than outsiders. Secondly , promoting people inside might save a huge amount of money for companies. Because when companies hire someone new , they might have to pay for training programs which is sometimes pretty expensive . And finally , internal employees know more about the company and its business model than new hiring. They understand company’s goals and vision , so they could make better decisions for the company.
In contrast, there are several reasons why I think new hiring or external candidates might not fit in high level positions. Firstly, people from outside organization might not be able to adapt to new work environment . As a result, they are isolated and could not work in the team which means the productivity could go down. Secondly , people who are not from the inside might not have the same goals and vision with the company, some of them only work for their own objectives. For example, they could make decision focusing on short-term profits instead of long-term strategies that might benefit the company in the long run . And the last thing i want to mention is that hiring newers for the high position can lead to the dissatisfaction of internal employees . they may feel disappointed because their contributions for the company are not valued . it will lead to lack of motivation to work at their best and therefore, have the negative effect to the organization
In conclusion, promotion to high positions in the company is an important decision. It will make a huge impact to the organization and thus, from the reasons above ,I believe inside employees is the best choice for those positions .
