In companies, promotions to high positions should be given to employees inside the company and not to somebody outside the company or new hiring. Do you agree or disagree?
There is a debate that whether the companies should select internal employees for higher positions or give these opportunities for the outsiders. In my opinion, I believe that inside or outside employees should get the equal chance to apply for such positions.
On the one hand, there are obvious reasons why people advocate that a company should promote an internal worker to a vacant high-level position. Firstly, these experienced staffs have already known about the company system and the business model, while the outsiders need longer time to adopt and understand new workplaces. Moreover, upgrading these existing workers make them more royal to their companies, since they will be able to show their abilities and hence make more contributions for their companies. This also fulfil their job satisfactions and encourage internal employees to have a strong attachment to their companies.
However, I personally think that a company should not promote an internal worker to the higher position if the employee does not truly deserve and qualify this position, job seekers and freshman should be given equal opportunities to reach higher positions. In this competitive world, people are frequently switching their jobs, if a company restricts its hiring policy for high-level position only available for the internal workers, it will soon fall behind other companies which have a variety of choices. Consequently, it will face the scarcity of talent and qualified workers. Therefore, a company should not only consider to upgrade its existing staffs but also need to invite other strong candidates from outside to apply for the high-level position. Thus, they can select the best possible employees for the position.
In conclusion, I concur that the hiring policy should not be limited and be influenced by any prejudice or outdated rules. Both insiders and outsiders should be given an equal opportunity to compete fairly for a high position.[8/7/2019, 6:49:36 PM] Cám ơn các bạn!
