WRITING TASK 2
Nowadays a large amount of advertising aiming at children should be banned because of the negative effects. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, children are the large target market for many companies so there are more and more advertisements in which babies are chosen as main characters in order to advertise their products. While I accept that advertising may affect negatively on children but I do believe that we can control those unwanted effects and besides, this kind of advertising still brings us big advantages.
On the one hand, there are many reasons why some people are dislike children advertisements and ask to ban them. The first reason is that it is not good for babies when they have to contact with cameras too early. This can be harmful at their health, especially their eyes when they are exposed to the flash. Some little babies can be blind due to the flash of cameras. Furthermore, to be famous at very young age often brings bad consequences to children. The immature minds of children have not enough ability to solve the complications of the popularity. As a result, they must be mature too soon and they may lose their childhood.
However, although children advertisements have some drawbacks but we don’t have to ban all of them. Firstly, we can totally control their negative effects. The role of sponsorship is very important. Noones can harm children without their parents’agreement. Parents should always be alert against all the avertising contracts in order to protect their babies. Secondly, as we know, advertisement is an essential part of our life and children are the best choices for advertising children’s products. People can not ask an adult to be a main character for this kind of advertisement.
In conclusion, it is certainly true that advertising aiming at children may have some negative effects but I would argue that we should ban it while it brings us many advantages and we can still control its drawbacks.
