Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Teaching children with both academic knowledge and social skills becomes more and more important in the modern society. They can learn either at school from teachers and friends or at home from their parents. Personally, I agree that parents play a critical role in growing children to be good members of the society.
First of all, it can’t be denied that school is the place to equip children with a lot of knowledge. At school, children can learn from basic skills such as reading and writing to academic knowledge including mathematics, literature, geography, history, etc. Furthermore, day-to-day interacting with teachers and friends will improve a child’s social skills like communicating with each other, sharing things, obeying orders and so on. Attending classes will help children to build a solid background of knowledge and skills for their future growth.
On the other hand, educating a child is not only a school’s job but his parent’s responsibility. Besides knowledge from schools, in daily life, parents should guide their children on how to behave in the society to become better persons. Parents are also the ones who understand their children’s characteristics the most so that they can play the role of coaches in determining which paths of future development are suitable for their children. Last but not least, parents can’t rely on schools only to teach their children because sometimes they can learn bad things from their friends at schools. By following every step of your children, you can help them to adjust themselves to become worthy assets to the society.
In conclusion, I have to admit the important role of parents in teaching children. The success of a child can’t be achieved without the help of his parent. That`s why home-schooling becomes more and more popular nowadays.
