Teachers used to convey information, but now with wide resources of information. Some people think that there is no role for teachers to play in modern education, others disagree. Discuss both views and give your opinion?

Some people believe that teachers lose their importance in modern education because of a variety of information resources, while the opponents of this idea highly appreciate teachers’ role in education system. While there are benefits to students who are living in information explosion era, I would argue that teachers entirely remain their crucial role.
On the one hand, the appearance of the internet creates an information era when it allows everybody to meet their demand of knowledge easily. Particularly, students can retrieve necessary information from websites which offer a wide range of knowledge of fields they are studying in, just by a mobile device having Wi-Fi connection. Besides, learning applications are also developed to provide users useful knowledge. Moreover, printed publications such as books, newspapers and magazines play an important role in bringing information to students. Learners can find them in bookstores, public libraries even coffee shops.
On the other hand, it is true that teachers’ importance is undeniable. First, they can give learners an opportunity to have face to face communication, and then guide them by effective approaches with a well-prepared syllabus. Students are kept focused on what they need to learn and prevented from being astray by a large amount of information. Furthermore, teachers not only teach academic subjects but also social skills. In other words, learning from school and teachers’ monitoring achieve a huge success in enhancing students’ capacities of communication, competition and cooperation which are essential soft skills in their life.
In conclusion, while students reap benefits from information epoch, it seems to me that teachers still make outstanding contributions to build the future generations.
