In some countries the average weight of people is increasing and their levels of health and fitness are decreasing.
What do you think are the causes of these problems and what measures could be taken to solve them?

Food waste has been highlighted as a emerging problem that seems to be out of the public attention. Given that the issue potentially affects on the environment, definition the reasons is the key to find out the solutions.
On the one hand, there are some reasons why a huge amount of food is annually wasted. Firstly, because almost all fresh food, such as meat and vegetables, are perishable, they usually have expiry date. This means that should people do not consume quickly, food will be out of date and no longer eaten or safe, which causes food waste. Furthermore, the way that people prepare food also makes the contribution to waste of food. For example, if food was not well-prepared, either at home or in the restaurant, people would refuse to eat and the food waste would occur in the accumulated and considerate level.
However, there are several solutions to mitigate this tendency. First and foremost, even though some food is inedible for people, they can be composted or used to feed livestock. This not only is positive for the agriculture but also decline land filled organic matter that can harm the environment. Secondly, though the waste is inedible for cattle, they is still used to create materials to produce recycled energy. For instance, several countries took steps to turn organic matter from food waste into biogas generating electrical power with low expense.
In conclusion, even though food waste seems inevitable in today’s world, there are various ways to recycle it. Feeding livestock and generating energy can be two of the most useful ways to tackle food waste.
