Topic 1: Where you live

1. Can you tell me about your hometown?

First of all, I would like to tell you that I come from central Viet Nam, Khanh Hoa is my hometown. Well, the first thing I would say is that it is a medium sized province along the coast of the East Sea, about midway between Binh Dinh and Phu Yen. Another significant characteristic is that it’s endowed with (được trời phú) beautiful long beaches, along which many famous buildings have been built such as Cat Trang and Vinpearland. The main thing you need to know is that it offers a good variety of fresh seafood. Finally, many tourists get into (enjoy) the glimpses (cái nhìn thoáng qua) of the countryside scenery and simple lifestyle of the local area.

2. Tell me about your room:

Well, to say something about my room; The first thing I would mention is that it is not very large, but it is clean and quite bright with its yellow color. Furthermore, it’s on the fourth floor, so from the view of its window, I can get into (enjoy) the view of HCMC. Finally, I live with my 5 close friends, which makes our room become warm and merry.

3. What do you like about your hometown?

First of all, I would say that there are miles of long beautiful beaches with tons of fresh seafood restaurants which attract many tourists to visit Khanh Hoa every year. Additionally, I love the fresh air and simple lifestyle of the local residents.

4. What do you like about your house?

Well to be honest, I would say that my house is quite pretty, of a medium size and green color that I love. Another significant thing that I like is the cool fresh air, which is due to the fact that there are many paddy fields and fruit orchards (fruit garden) around it. For me, it is the most desirable destination in the world.

5. What do you like about your room?

Generally speaking, the first thing I love about my room is that it’s quite pretty and looks very bright with a yellow color. Another significant characteristic is its special design which makes a medium sized room look very wide and comfortable. Finally, I really get into the stunning view of the city from my window.

6. Tell me the good things about your house.

Certainly, there are many good things about my house that I love. Above all, it looks stylish and bright with a green color. Other significant things are the position and architecture which make my house cool and ventilated (thông thoáng) during all seasons. Finally, I love the quiet and peaceful environment, which is due to the fact that my house is in the outskirts (ngoại ô) of the town.

7. Is there anything you don’t like about it (your house)?

To be honest, I think I’d have to say that I’m not so keen on its lighting system. In my opinion, there are not enough lights, and therefore, it doesn’t supply sufficiently for the whole house. In addition to this, I’m not very fond of the lack of neighborhood services, especially supermarkets and shops, which is due to the fact that my house is the outskirts of the town.
