Dear,
Writing seems to be the hardest to get a high score in IELTS. Some points to take note of
1. IELTS writing band is composed of task 1 and task 2. So, single-mindedly focusing on either task 1 or task 2 is not of much use. Both task 1 and task 2 should be given full attention
2. Stick to one approach only or you will likely be overwhelmed by a matrix of online materials. For example, if you are following Ielts Simon’s or Ngoc Bach’s writing style, stick to it rather than have a look at other approaches by many other instructors
3. Equally important, be patient and invest more time and efforts into grammar and vocabulary before getting down to write full essays

Taken together, nothing but “practice makes perfect” would bring fruits.
