Although more and more people read news on the internet, newspaper remain the most important source of news. Do you agree or disagree?
Despite the information explosion on the Internet, some critics still believe newspaper also remain an important role in spreading the news. I have a strong faith that the idea describe above has been obsolete for several reasons in this essay.
Fist of all, from the personal view, online newspaper is far more convenient. Nowadays, the whole people have personal computers and can easily access to the Internet, so they can seek the information more simply than going to a grocery store to buy a newspaper. Moreover, the newspaper is published once a day or even once a week, so the readers cannot get the latest news. On the contrary, the online one is updated constantly the information all over the world. Thus, it is far more effective for readers to seek the latest information as they read news on the Internet.
Secondly, from the environmental view, publishers have to cut down the trees for the newspaper. Every day, all over the world, people cut down thousands of trees to publish the newspaper, which lead to many considerable effects on our environment such as the imbalance ecosystems. For a clearer understanding, people cut down the trees, which directly destroy the habitat of many wild animals. Furthermore, destroying the forest could result in other consequences which is harmful for the residents such as increase of CO2 in the atmosphere (air pollution) . The increase of CO2 cause the acid rain which is detrimental for body damage the building.
In conclusion, while some people remain arguing that newspaper still play a pivotal role, I am convinced with the perspective that it is time to stop publishing newspaper, people should read news online more often.Hi Son, please comment if you need any clarification.
